Prof. David Mandel of L'Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), who is on the editorial board of Press-toi à gauche, an internet publication that is well read by progressive and union folk in Quebec wrote a piece entitled Worker solidarity or colonial complicity? The Quebec unions and the asbestos issue.
Prof. Mandel had attended the Asia-Québec Solidarity Delegation’s press conference in Montreal and he quotes the delegation in his article. This was perhaps the first time such an article has ever been written in Quebec, Canada.
